“AREA V SPORTS MEET” LITERARY JOURNALISM”A concept of the victors would not exist without placing one’s self upod the shoes of janquished”, A was a pleasant day, last March 17, 2023 Area V sports Meet begun at Himamaylan National High School on Himamaylan City, Negros Occidental. The schools of La castellana, Isabela, Hinigaran, Binalbagan and Moise’s Padilla are invited to compile during this sport event. An opening parade was done early around 7am in the morning in Himamaylan National High School grounds with the presence of the City Mayor, Mr. Rogelio Raymund I. Tongson to give his welcoming address to the coacher and participants. Respective players of different groups has this aura of a mighty tiger roaring for victory in each field of sports. The determined dace of participants and their eagerness to win for the victory sets the grounds of Himamaylan National High School on five. All teams are doing and giving their best to be the champions of this competition. No one wants to be a loser that even though they feel tired they still continue to fight and battle against their opponents. This only shows that a true players would to his best to claim victory not minding it’s self but the pride of his name in the field of sports he is playing with. All over the Area V sports Meet gives thrills and chills with it’s participant in a friendly school competitions held on Himamaylan National High School on the City of Himamaylan.

The awaited day has come when the date sets on the morning of match 17,2023 at Himamaylan National High School (HNHS) for the tournament of AREA V sports MEET would be started. Himamaylan National High School is one of the most spacious and accommodating school in the city of Himamaylan. It has a huge frela, a basketball and Volleyball court, and a very large grandstand. A is the main reason why this school is selected to be the most of this sports event. Himamaylan City also holds the most spacious places and areas where sports could could be held. The schools of Moises Padilla, Isabela, La castellana, Hinigaran and Binalbagan are those opponent of the sports meet who assembly on the grounds of Himamaylan for the epening parade ceremony. Along with the opening parade ceremony introducing of the coaches and participants have done. They travel to compile for the victory with pride and honor as they where welcome by the Mayor of Himamaylan City, no other than Mayor Rogelio Reymund I. Tongson. After all with their determined aura and eagerness to win the fire is set to compile for the best on the grounds of Himamaylan City especially on the home court of Himamaylan National High School.

Loudscreams, shoes squek, whistle and the sound of the dribling ball filled the whole gymnasium oh Himamaylan City. An extreme basketball competition between the schools of La castellana and Himamaylan brought five in the Himamaylan City’s gymnasium on March 19,2023. With both offensive and defensive technique, passing, dribling and blocking, anything that can help their team to score up. Himamaylan men’s basketball team players including Gloen John Antolo,and Edcel Paul Calma together with others players bagged silver in 5×5 braws against La castellana during AREA V secondary Men’s Basketball Tournament on Himamaylan’s Gymnasium. Gaining the scores of 25, 37, 60 and 87 during the 1st, 2nd, 3rd,and 4th quarters. While on the other hand La castellana men’s basketball team scores 15,39,70 and 83. Keeping their spirits burning, La castellana had a chance to turned the table and led the second match to victory during the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th quarters Obtaining 15,29,48, and 55 secoring the gold. Both teams are determined and eager to win, tired but still doing and giving their best to be the champions. At the end La castellana claims the victory.
